The Brief
Restaurants are rarely furnished from a single supplier. Indoor seating comes from one source, terrace furniture from another, tables from a third — and the result is a space where nothing quite belongs together, delivered on three different schedules.
This client wanted the opposite: one supplier, one design language, one programme, running continuously from the dining room out onto the terrace.
Every item was produced to the client’s approved drawings and specifications — their design, their selected materials, their fabric finishes.

One Supplier, Indoor to Outdoor
Furnishing a restaurant across two environments is a materials problem before it is a design problem.
Indoor furniture is specified for appearance, comfort and daily service wear — upholstery that holds its shape through hundreds of covers a week, timber and marble that survive constant cleaning.
Terrace furniture faces an entirely different set of demands. Dubai sun, humidity, dust and outdoor cleaning regimes. Rope-weave, powder-coated frames and solid teak are specified because they hold up outdoors — not because they resemble the indoor pieces.
The skill is making two different material sets read as one continuous space. That is far easier when a single supplier produces both to the same approved drawings, rather than two suppliers each interpreting the design their own way.
Produced to the Client’s Design
Nature & Beyond did not design this restaurant. The client did — and we produced it.
For a designer or operator with a defined vision, that is usually the harder brief: it demands a producer who can execute someone else’s intent precisely, rather than steer the project toward an existing range.
