What must a hotel furniture compliance statement contain?
Short answer: a compliance statement takes every item in the tender and answers every line of the specification against it: the requirement, what is offered, whether it complies, and what proof follows. A good one lets the consultant check the whole package without phoning the manufacturer.
The columns every statement needs

| 7. Compliance | COMPLY, or COMPLY with the certificate following at submittal, or a clear deviation. |
| 8. Remarks | How compliance will be proved, and when. |
The parameters it should cover
- Frame material and moisture content, and the jointing method.
- Panel core and its emission grade.
- Finish system and number of coats; metal finish thickness and salt spray hours.
- Foam type and density; suspension type.
- Fabric rub count, colourfastness and fire certificate.
- Load ratings and cycle tests where they apply.
- Inspection level before shipment, for example AQL 2.5.
- Packaging standard.
- Warranty, per component, and where the warranty terms are set out.
Three things that separate a strong statement from a weak one
No blanks
Every line answered. "To be confirmed" is a deviation, not compliance.
Proof named
Each certificate is named, with the stage it will be issued at.
Deviations stated openly
Where an alternative is offered, say so on the line, with the reason.
